There’s a lot more going on in our food than we realise
In every plant based food we eat, we should be considering a lot more than the sugar content or the calories.
One thing we rarely think of is the colour of the food which is ironic because the colour of the fruit or vegetable determines what nutrients you’ll be getting (and trust us, every colour is good).
Yep, each colour of plant based foods has a unique combination of disease fighting chemicals called phytochemicals.
This is why you probably hear people banging on about the phrase ‘eat a rainbow’.
