The Optimum Time of Day to Drink Each of Our Juices
Share
Let's face it: there are so many of our deliciously cold-pressed juices to pick from, that you'll probably have at least a few of them per day. But when is the optimum time to enjoy them, based on your body's needs? Read on to find out...
Early Morning - 5am - 9am: Metabolism and Immunity.
If you haven't already started your cleanse with your First Thing Shot, now's the time to do it. This delicious combination of lemon, sea salt and cayenne pepper activates your metabolism, giving your body the kickstart it needs before embarking on a juice cleanse.
Dawn Patrol is an excellent juice to have first thing in the morning, as the elite immunity boosting combination of carrots, orange, turmeric and ginger will fire up your immune defences for the rest of the day. The gut-boosting hit of ginger and turmeric also sets your metabolism up for a good day of digestion.
Alternatively, enjoy Ginger Snap for similar benefits. The apple, lemon, ginger and coconut water combo will hydrate and energise you first thing in the morning, whilst lemon and ginger will still kickstart your immune system defences and metabolism.
Late Morning - 9am - 12pm: Proteins and Nutrients.
They say a good breakfast sets you up for the rest of the day. And it's true, as the nutrients you consume in the morning give your brain and body the energy and focus it needs to complete your daily tasks. We recommend Health Nut as a delicious breakfast drink, with almonds, purified water, Medjool dates, cinnamon and nutmeg to keep you going until the PM.
Alternatively, Mind Mylk packs a similar punch with cashews, purified water, Medjool dates, banana, cacao powder, nutmeg and chia seeds. The elite combination of energy-boosting fruits like banana and dates in both of these beverages gives you the energy you need in the morning, whilst nuts like almonds and cashews fuel your brain with magnesium and healthy fats.
These Nut Mylks feed your body with healthy calories that are easily burned throughout the day.
You can even follow your Nut Mylks with a delicious drink of Sunrise. As the name suggests, this delicious drink is a perfect breakfast treat with a tasty combination of oranges, pineapple, grapefruit, ginger and turmeric. The zesty flavours will give you all that AM energy, whilst ginger and turmeric further fortify your immunity throughout the day.
Early Afternoon - 12pm - 3pm: Filling and Fibrous.
It's lunchtime, so you need something that will simultaneously satiate your appetite and fuel you for the rest of the afternoon; but not something that will make you feel sluggish. Might we suggest one of our glorious green juices. Burleigh Green contains all of or veggie-only flavours kale, spinach, celery, cucumber, lettuce, parsley and mint, which can aid your mental focus for an afternoon of work ahead. This green juice also alkalises your system and stops you from getting a sugar-spike which can lead to sluggishness in the afternoon.
If you do need something a little sweeter, Daily Green is your go-to as it still contains the brain boosting leafy greens of spinach, lettuce and mint combined with antioxidizing apple, cucumber, celery, lime and lemon.
Late Afternoon - 3pm - 5pm: Energy Boost.
If you've been up early, working hard, or a combination of both, now might be the time you're reaching for an easy, high-processed snack or sneaking off for a nap. But think again! An energising Nut Mylk like Muscle Mylk may give you that energy boost you need, perhaps as a pre-workout to go to the gym instead. Packed with almonds, purified water, banana, Medjool dates, maca powder, chia seeds, nutmeg and cinnamon, this elite combo gives you an extra energy hit, and the protracted use of superfoods like maca will up your energy levels over a longer period of time, too.
Or, if you're after something a little lighter and more refreshing with a hint of sweetness, reach for Glow. With watermelon, cucumber, red apple, lime and ginger, this hydrating and refreshing combo might be all you need to perk yourself up in the late afternoon.
Evening - 5pm - 9pm: Winding Down
It's time to start winding down so your body can have a restful night's sleep without any uncomfortable indigestion. Our top juice for aiding your sleep is Dr Green, with potassium and magnesium-rich avocado to promote those zzz's.
Alternatively, enjoy a rich sip of Black Magic, with activated charcoal, lemon, alkaline water and coconut nectar to soothe and alkalise your system before bed. Activated charcoal aids your digestion, whilst alkalising your system with alkaline water and lemon prevents any acid reflux from disturbing your sleep.
