The Diary of a Juice Cleanser - Day 2

The Diary of a Juice Cleanser - Day 2

Day 2 of the Fruit Free Juice Cleanse began with a very early wake up to get down to Tallebudgera Creek and watch the sunrise. I grabbed my Celery and Clean Green juice before heading out the door. I slept wonderfully from the Day 1 Cleanse and found it easy to wake up early.

I sipped on celery first thing, then post-sunrise I accompanied my Clean Green juice with a green tea. By lunchtime I was feeling pretty peckish. As I’ve said already, I plan to eat on day 2 and 3 of my juice cleanse as I will still be keeping busy and exercising, so I ate a kale superfood salad to compliment and mimic the ingredients that have been in my green juices so far. My system felt amazing from this. The juices are useful in helping and guiding you to make more informative choices about what you do eat, and they also stop you from overeating because they are plentiful and filling.

After working across lunchtime I headed to the gym, where I had my Burleigh Green as a hydrating juice before my workout. This was not too heavy and gave me good energy for my weights session, although I didn’t lift quite as heavily as usual due to fasting and cleansing the day before.

For my post-workout nutritious drink, I had the Health Nut Mylk and a handful of almonds as my solid complimentary snack. This filled me up right until dinner, when I enjoyed my favourite juice, Black Magik, before a healthy dinner of lentils, beans, diced tomatoes, veggies and spices, and some fruit to finish.

Then right before bed I enjoyed my Dr Green juice and slept soundly once again. Did you know it has been proven that avocado can improve sleep quality, helping you fall asleep faster and stay asleep, whilst the potassium in it can also ease muscle tensions? This is my new favourite bedtime drink.

Overall on day 2 of my Fruit Free Juice Cleanse, I felt that the juices were not only keeping me super hydrated, but also acting as health supplements. In the space of 2 days, they have already made a more notable difference to my mood, energy levels and overall well-being than any vitamins or supplements I’ve taken before. Whilst consuming solids on this day, they also help me stay on track with my diet and health goals by reminding me to make healthier choices and not mindlessly snacking or overeating.
