Healing your gut can be tricky business

And poor gut health affects the WHOLE body.

Yep, that’s right, happy gut, happy life. Well, kinda…

Anyway, The Cleanse Kitchen team believes that great gut health starts and ends with your diet and lifestyle.

Just because your grazing on kale and munching down quinoa like it’s nobodies business, doesn’t mean that you will have great gut health.

Factors like stress and sleep have a HUGE affect on your gut.

We experience our emotions literally in our gut, hence why we get butterflies or when we are shocked our stomach ‘drops’, so it’s important to reduce stress.

If you have serious gut issues we would advise that you seek professional advice, but we wanted to give you our top 3 tips for healing your gut.

When our tummy starts to cause us a little trouble we usually put the fork down right away and fast on Cold Pressed Juice for at least 3 – 5 days.

But while we do that, we take three other important steps:

goodbacteria

If you are having tummy troubles then you can be confident that your gut bacteria is out of balance.

If you have ever had antibiotics, you may have stripped your gut of both the bad and the good bacteria.

Now it’s time to reintroduce good bacteria back into your gut.

In order to do this we make sure to include a few special foods and elixirs into our diet:

Apple Cider Vinegar
Oregano Oil
Kombucha
Ginger
Sauerkraut

We consider these to be foods that the gut LOVES, so when our tummy’s start to grumble we start to throw back our Tummy Soothe booster like there’s no tomorrow!

digestion

When you create heat in your digestive system, you make it that much easier for your body to digest food throughout the day.

We heat up our digestive system with a First Thing booster every morning.

The lemon and cayenne pepper not only heats the digestive system, they also make the body become more alkaline.

If you can, make sure you start every day with a squeeze of lemon in warm water.

reduce

Now you probably hear people banging on about this all the time, but we are serious!

Chronic stress has direct links to the health of your gut.

Combine that with a toxic overload caused from bad foods, as well as makeup and personal care products filled with nasties, and you got yourself a toxic breeding ground for bad bacteria.

So how do we kick the stress and toxicity?

Meditation. Every freakin day.

And we stick to organic personal care items and makeup. Some of the biggest culprits of toxic build up include foundation and deodorant.

If you have got yourself in a bit of a pickle with these things, it’s probably time to do a 1 – 3 Day Cleanse and reset.

And don’t forget to give your tummy a loving rub every day…

Okay well that one is not mandatory, but you can try it.
